Concept

BayerCalendar is a UX project proposing a smart calendar app for smallholder farmers in southern Vietnam, paired with an immersive pop-up that introduces the tool offline. It tackles the two threats that quietly shape farming income, unpredictable price fluctuations and extreme weather, through a visual language farmers already trust: dates, icons, and color.

Approach

Drought, flood, unseasonal rain, and pricing data are folded into a single color coded calendar, with Pending Actions, a Wish-list for timing future crops, and an average pricing tool for fair value during peaks. A four-room pop-up acts as a real-life user guide, walking farmers past mini crop fields that show life with and without the app, before ending in a tutorial room where Bayer staff help install it.
